Joseph "Joe" Rocco Martino, age 60, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on January 3, 1957 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Antonio and Lucille (Anastasia) Martino.

Joe attended school in Riverside California, and later served in the United States Army.

He married Cindy Elaine Knecht in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 3, 1983.

Joe currently was working for Stoop's Freightliner, in Fremont, Indiana, and had worked in transportation for the last 18 years.

He was born on January 3, 1957 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Antonio and Lucille (Anastasia) Martino.

Joe attended school in Riverside California, and later served in the United States Army.

He married Cindy Elaine Knecht in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 3, 1983.

Joe currently was working for Stoop's Freightliner, in Fremont, Indiana, and had worked in transportation for the last 18 years.

He formerly lived in Riverside, California, Dallas, Texas, and has lived in Steuben County for the last eighteen years. He was a member of the Angola American Legion Post # 31, and also spent time at the Orland, and Fremont American Legion Posts. Joe enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, boating, motor cycle rides, spending time with his family and friends, and he was a great keyboard and organ player. He also loved animals.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Martino of Angola, Indiana, their children, Tina Martino of Angola, Indiana, and Chris Martino of Kendallville, Indiana, four grandchildren, Jenna, Lauren, Macie, and Cindi Jo, his siblings, Daniel Cutter of Benton, Illinois, Michael (Laurie) Martino of Moreno Valley, California, Loretta (Harrison) Mosley , and Rosemary (Glenn) Baloh, both of Sevierville, Tennessee, Lucille (Ron) Smith of Middleburg, Florida, and Marilyn (Charles) Crittenden of Lancaster, California, a half-sister, Gail (James) Hoppers of Grapeville, Texas, two sisters-in law, Penny (Lee) Turner of Pioneer, Ohio, and Deb (Scott) Reese of Montpelier, Ohio, his mother-in-law, Mary (William) Rose of Fort Mojave, Arizona, and a brother-in-law, Dale (Anne) Knecht of Montpelier, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Ronald Cutter, and a sister, Patricia Mize.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 2 pm until 4 pm, at the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post 257, Fremont, Indiana.
